While growing up I have always been very fascinated with the cinema that Karan Johar brought to the big screen. It was sheer storytelling, fantastical, larger-than-life, but it was in sync with the dreams I always saw. Be it my all-time favourite Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham or even Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan’s films have been a true celebration of Indian cinema. Now, KJo gears up for his birthday on 25th May. And we learn that the occasion will be triply special for it has a Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani connection.

Karan Johar celebrates his 51st birthday…

This year will be a triple celebration for the KJo. Well, of course, one of them is his birthday. Also, the audience will be treated to the very first look from his next grand film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Other than this, 2023 also marks his silver jubilee as a director in this industry.

This year marks Karan Johar’s 25 years as a director…

Karan started off his journey as a director with the iconic film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. He soon followed it up with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. While both these films went on to become great successes, Karan went on to give us more amazing films. Namely, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student Of The Year, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, etc. Now with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani releasing on 28th July 2023, it will be KJo’s another directorial as he celebrates his silver jubilee in Bollywood as a director.

Here’s all we know about Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani…

Directed and produced by Karan Johar, the film is a rom-com starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film also stars legendary actors like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani marks Karan Johar’s return as a director after eight long years. As per reports, the film has been extensively shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Russia, and Jammu & Kashmir. It is slated to release on 28th July.
